Description
The mission of Food & Friends is to foster a community caring for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.
Volunteers assist in the kitchen, prepare and package meals, or on the road, deliver meals to the clients. Volunteers can help in other ways too, including lending a hand in the offices, staffing special events, or representing Food and Friends at public events.
Minimum Age: 18 (14 for food preparation)
Minimum Age w/Adult: 14
Times Needed: Monday-Saturday 9-noon; Monday-Thursday 1-3 pm or 6-8 pm
All individual volunteers must register for an orientation online then decide where they want to volunteer.
