VOLUNTEER HALL OF FAME

Caroline Healy

Caroline Healy has been supporting the Honor Flight Network for more than two years, first by greeting veterans at Dulles Airport and then raising money to bring veterans to Washington, DC.  The Honor Flight Network transports veterans to visit memorials built in Washington, DC to honor their service to the nation.  Inspired by her great grandfather’s service in World War II, Caroline believes that it’s very important to remember the veterans who served the United States.  Caroline, along with her Girl Scout Troop, organized a screening of the movie Honor Flight and a fundraiser dinner at the Old Brogue in Great Falls.  She helped to raise $5,000, which was enough to fly 10 veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the monuments.

Caroline is a sixth grader at Colvin Run Elementary School in Vienna, VA.   In addition to community service, she enjoys drama and volleyball.
